Adblock Plus - free ad blocker
Description from store

Adblock Plus is among the most popular and trusted free ad blockers with over 500 million downloads. A favorite ad blocker among users since 2006, Adblock Plus lets you block ads and enjoy a better browsing experience on YouTube and your other favorite sites.

Looking for an alternative adblocker to uBlock Origin? We are and always will be Chrome-compatible with the latest MV3 updates.

➤ Download Adblock Plus and access these free ad-blocking features:

● Block annoying ads like pop-ups, video ads, and banners.
● Block third-party trackers and keep your information more private from advertisers.
● Reduce cyber fraud from malicious ads with viruses and phishing scams that compromise your device and target your accounts.
● Personalize your browsing by choosing what to block and what to allow.
● Enjoy free and responsive support from our team!

➤ Get more from your adblocker and take more control over your browsing experience when you upgrade to Premium:

● Block more than ads and say goodbye to auto-play videos that follow as you browse, newsletter pop-ups, survey requests, and more.
● Hide cookie banners and get where you’re going faster when you stop seeing those pesky pop-ups that ask you to accept cookies on sites.

Adblock Plus functions as an adblock for YouTube and other sites the moment you install the extension allowing you to browse the web how you want. You can customize your settings once you install the extension, pin it to your toolbar, and open the menu. In some cases, ads may be displayed on YouTube or other sites. Learn more about blocking ads on YouTube: https://adblockplus.org/youtube. If you need to pause AdBlock Plus, open the extension and click ‘pause on this site’.

Our extension helps keep content free for users by showing some nonintrusive ads that comply with the Acceptable Ads Standard (www.acceptableads.com) by default. If you do not wish to see Acceptable Ads, this can be turned off at any time: https://adblockplus.org/acceptable-ads#optout.

Please note: When installing Adblock Plus, you will receive a warning that the extension will receive access to your browsing history and data. This is a standard message - we NEVER collect any user information.

We prioritize user privacy and security, ensuring your browsing history and personal information remain private. By downloading and installing this extension, you agree to our Terms of Use: https://adblockplus.org/terms and our Privacy Policy https://adblockplus.org/privacy.

This is a very useful ad blocker! no more ads on youtube for me!

I used to enjoy using it. The problem is, when I actively use the ad blocker on YouTube, the playback speed stops working. It doesn't matter whether I press and hold the button on the video or adjust it in the settings (gear icon). As soon as I deactivate the ad blocker, it works again. It's a real shame. Sometimes, turning the ad blocker off and then back on again, and reloading the page, helped. But even that didn't always work.

Since chrome has made ublock extinct, im back to this. My only two gripes using this again, is number 1, you need to add an import/export filters feature, thank God copying and pasting my ublock filters into this worked because man if I would have had to do it all over again or one at a time etc, I dont know if id even still be here using this.......... and number 2, this seems to have an issue with blocking YT ads consistently, sometimes you get nothing, straight to the video. Other times, it'll load up the ad for a brief moment and then skip it, which, it should just act like there was never an ad to begin with, and other times, you'll get these still ad images with a skip button that do go away after a few seconds but still, feels like those just run normally and the ad blocking is doing nothing. I try to block the elements of them, but it just makes the video player black with no options to do anything, until the wait for the ads is over anyways, so its not doing anything but just basically blacking them out but not getting rid of them. I would subscribe to this but theres just too many lacking elements to it and the "perks" dont really seem to add anything special that already doesnt exist, besides making an account to I guess be able to save your filters? Also, the UI for the filter list is sooooo outdated, you need to step that up, add more search filters, search by dates, when searching for a website, only show results with that phrase in them, instead of the just randomness you have now with the whole just check marking them but in no particular order so you have to scroll through your entire list just to find the checks because the grouping is all over the place, if the URL isnt exactly the same IE, www or just the website, itll put them in two seperate areas in your lists. Also itd be nice if you could just actually use the find feature and search for them that way, but it only works for the results already in the small box so its rendered useless. All im asking for is a couple literally just minor updates and this could be great, but nothing on this has changed since like I first used it like a decade ago.......

Is legal to pop-up everyday a tab??? You're interrumping the workflow again and again, is there a setting to DISABLE this annoying popup of how many ads you blocked, updates, etc etc????

India forms a peninsula, bordered by the Bay of Bengal to the southeast, the Arabian Sea to the southwest, and the Indian Ocean to the south. Its diverse terrain includes the Himalayan mountain range in the north, the fertile Ganges Plain, the Thar Desert in the west, and tropical jungles in the northeast. The climate varies from tropical in the south to temperate and alpine in the north, and is heavily influenced by the seasonal monsoon winds.

Doesn't Work

Adblock Plus has gone from five star to no star lately, because the notification that pops up asking me to block cookies is now extremely obnoxious though because the x button to close the pop up doesn't work, and neither does the "block cookies now" button. So Adblock has become as obnoxious as the ads that it blocks.

This is okay if you want an ad-blocker to block certain elements, but you keep shoving an ad in my face when i log in! It interferes with Google's search engine. It wont allow you to open answers, or log into your accounts. If you want a good adblocker, try this for a while, then delete it if it says "We've blocked ________ Ads for you! Focus on what really matters and buy Adblock Plus Premium" as it will redirect you there when you open up your browser.

still see ads

Hey, guess what, devs? If you pop up an advertisement every time I open Chrome, YOU ARE NOT BLOCKING ADS, YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF THEM! Sometimes this obnoxious extension opens a tab and switches to it while I'm in the middle of writing an email. Who gave you permission to open a tab on my browser? Who gave you permission to give it focus? Who gave you permission to be more obnoxious and intrusive than the ads you are supposed to block? No, I'm not paying your exorbitant price for Adblock. YOU LOST THE THREAD. Uninstalled.
