Thank you for all the bug reports:
With your help we figured out that the plugin has
problems with special WAV codecs. Unfortunately a lot of the
voicemail systems use these special wave codecs and that's
a big problem and the solution for this problem will require hard work that i cannot provide right now.
If your provider supports, try to change the format of your wave file or use mp3 or ogg as alternative.

It works sporadically. frustrating. no idea why it quits. I'm uninstalling.
4 Stars for how it worked before a few days ago. Back then it was great! MP3 files would auto play upon opening an email. Google has changed the way they handle attachments and this doesn't work any more. Hopefully the dev can update Voicemail Audioplayer.

Player displays, but it has no functionality.
Shows play bar next to file, but shows muted or no speaker, and can't play.
