Description from store Simple Window Saver makes it super easy to save and restore windows. Keep one window for work tabs, one for Gmail and Facebook, and one for your vacation planning or the research on that new TV you want to buy. As the title reveals, simplicity is the name of the game. Unlike other session managers, Simple Window Saver remembers when you've saved a window and keeps track of changes. It's not full of features you don't need – it does what you want and it does it well. Go ahead, give it a try! If you have feedback or suggestions, do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]. And if you like this extension, remember to give it a good rating! - - Data collection - - Simple Window Saver uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, such as how many saved windows users have and how often a new window is saved. This helps me improve the extension. I DO NOT track the urls or titles of the windows/tabs you save, or the names of the saved windows. There's just one annoying thing: Why is there no quick-search to search through saved windows?! This would help a lot for those using this tool excessively :)

(2023-04-17) Machu Mahaney: It's pretty useful if you don't turn off your computer, but if you do you not only lose the windows it saved but they don't show up in your search history so you can't retrieve it later, I had dozens of recipes and job listings open and now they're all gone.
(2022-09-18) Marko Stojanovic: Doesn't work. Using it on Brave - it says my session of 24 tabs is saved, but when I try to open the session, my current window gets closed and no new windows open.

(2021-10-26) Ian MacRae: This is a great extension until they update, then it wipes out all your saved tab groups. I had at least 30 and now they are gone which is very frustrating. I only wish they had a search of saved tab groups to make it ease to find them if you have a lot. I will keep using this extension but only for temporary groups, it's to dangerous to loose all saved groups to trust it for more.
(2021-08-12) Dmitry Igorevich: Сперва подумал что нашел то самое, но увы - нет. Работаю с разными проектами, в одной сессии до 25-30 необходимый вкладок. И таск менеджер и тайм трекер и гитхаб и либы используемые открыты и дизайны/макеты и баг трекер и playMarket + iStore. В целом довольно много всего под 1 конкретный проект. И все было превосходно, пока плагин не стал: 1) Менять имена сессий (сессия где были вкладки под проект - теперь открывается сессия про звукозапись) 2) Делать сессии пустыми (0 вкладок) Так что приходится искать альтернативу, а жаль. Полгода пользовался - проблем не знал.

(2020-12-22) Daniel Petersson: The perfect solution for a Tab Ninja! I usually have 30+ tabs at the same time with CMS, CRM, Facebook Ads, Google Ads and so forth. It's a mess. But this helps me keep tabs organized and it speeds up my workflow. Thank you!

I save lots of Chrome windows with numerous tabs and can then shut any window to save computing power and ram and easily open them all up when I need them. It also helps as a backup when Chrome or the computer shuts down unexpectedly and Chrome doesn't automatically restore all the open windows. Thank you very much!

(2020-09-08) Crann “Crann” Ink: I really enjoy this extension, especially when I have to keep multiple tabs available for work projects. I have had issues, however, such as whenever the extension is updated, it deletes ALL of my saved windows, and I have no way of getting the grouped tabs back. It sort of defeats its purpose if you need to save something just before an update. Otherwise, it's been mostly good, with only a few lost windows this past year (not update-related).

It organizes all tabs same positions as they were closed, really helpful, it's simple and easy, low memory consumption. Hope the author could update it, since it has been long time with no updates, though still working as it suppose to. I looked for a way to make a donation, but couldn't find any. Great job. Tks

I tried out half a dozen other tab/session manager addons and for some reason none of them are able to just automatically save my windows as they were when I close them. "Simple Window Saver" seems to be doing just that, and it's working fine so far. The only other plugin I found that was able to do so was "Tabs Outliner" - but that's just overkill for what I want. Do you have a way to donate to the project? I can spare a few bucks for something that simplifies my tab-infested life.

Instead of having 37 things open in drop downs, I can retrieve them with a click. I wish there were some simple instructions available for it.
