• (2025-07-04) keeps glitching and blocks the wrong apps like Spotify instead of Pintrest, even blocks my google account at times and it is a horrible hassle to keep closing and re-opening tabs just to get it to work right! also the notifications of the amount of time I had left never came! This was something set to make sure research was easier and no distractions came but it blocked my research part! Unacceptable! But it does effectively lock the apps it's designed to keep out.....
• (2025-07-03) It's frankly amazing and the developers truly sealed all backdoors shut that my ape procrastinator brain usually resorted to. Trying to disable the extension is greeted with a series of are you sures just enough to begin to wake up and question your sanity. Blocks on domains and websites is perfect, blocks the site regardless how it is opened and there's no way around it, I love the wild card feature because it allows me to block youtube shorts pretty easily, although for some reason right now I cant add a new group to blocked sites from the settings.. The only issue with blocking sites is the entire tab must be closed so you lose all history prior but its not a major issue although I would prefer if I can go back to the last allowed site on the same tab.

• (2025-06-28) Amazing in almost all ways. Very customizable to own preferences. I would like to mention though that it is possible to cheat. If you block a website and the time runs out, you can add the specific tab you were browsing in Allowed sites, and then it's possible to access it again. Maybe adding websites to the Allowed list shouldn't be possible if the basic URL of the website is in the Blocked list and its time already ran out.
• (2025-06-24) Used to be better, doesn't work half the time, if you're under 13 it wont even open the options saying "the terms of service has changed" you have to bend the knee and lie to say your 18 so they can get you to agree to their data collecting. plus I can never catch Nuclear Mode at a time I can deactivate it so its effectively stuck on forever if I chose that option

• (2025-06-14) Generally works, but also blocks random sites that aren't in your block list. For instance, it prevents me from paying rent for no reason. You can get around it by adding the site to an allow list, but it's annoying to have random sites blocked for no reason while you're browsing the web.
• (2025-06-13) Read the Terms and Conditions! “You hereby grant Sensor Tower a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, fully transferable and sub-licensable worldwide right and license to use your User Contributions in any way and for any purposes... without any further notice or compensation to you of any kind.” And further: “If you submit content to us... you agree that such Submitted Content will not be treated as confidential... and may be used and exploited by Sensor Tower without compensation to you or any third party.” It also downloads the extension BEFORE you accept the terms and conditions. So... you can click away and not accept, but you need to check and see if it is already downloaded. It was for me.
• (2025-06-13) Worked well for a while for a while but would randomly replace tabs with the screen telling you it's blocked even though the timer hadn't run out yet. At one point all of my restrictions were removed in an update and I didn't realize for like a week. Worked well for showing me how much time I'd spent on each site but recently they're tried to connect it with this app they've made so every chart now defaults to showing you which device you've used more even though I'm only using a single device.
• (2025-06-11) Been using this for a while and it's working OK. Time limit seems to be buggy - when I set time limit for 45min on Youtube it blocks the site already after 26 minutes (according to time shown in the Dashboard)
• (2025-06-09) Wow, had such a terrible experience. I set it up. Went through the onboarding. Didn't know what I was doing but just seemed to select options that seemed right. I just wanted to block social media and some news sites but I didn't spend the time to add those I guess. Then after about 10 minutes while in the middle of work emails, StayFocusd blocked me from seeing any websites. I could not figure out any way to disable this. There was no way from the blocked screen. I had saved the url for the StayFocusd settings page and it wouldn't let me see that. It wouldn't let me see the Chrome Extension Manager either. Then in another browser, ChatGPT said to do into ingonito mode but again StayFocusd blocked me. WFT. I had to figure out how to open the file in Windows and delete it. Really? It seems like so many people have a good experience with this but I can't imagine. What a headache.

It slows down Chrome, the timer is buggy, and customization is frustrating—it kicks in immediately with no clear setup. Worst part? It blocked its own settings page, and the only thing it managed to effectively block was itself. Also, clearing cookies resets all restrictions, making it pretty useless. I’ve switched to TimeBuddy—much more reliable, customizable, and actually does what it promises.

• (2025-05-13) I had installed this extension. It is very helpful and helped me to stay focused but It hanged my pc. I was not able to open websites even weriting on search engine in chrome. I used another id but still it did n't work . So , when I remove it . My chrome and laptop is working fine . I really wish this performace issue to be fixed so that I can boost my productivity and use this extension.

Inconvenient since I need to turn it off every time I print something. No "block by category" option as far as I can tell, so I'm not sure why this is happening. Besides that, great extension. "Nuclear option" is amazing!
