- (2025-09-10) This extension would be perfect if it actually worked most of the time. On the extension, you can have only a certain amount of time allowed on a website right? Perfect, but when it hits 0:00, almost all of the time, the website just starts blocking every website you go on, even if you put the websites in the "white list" section. I guess it becomes confused and just starts blocking everything. This instance of it becoming, "confused" constantly happens for me, and I don't know why. Most people don't mention it, so it might just be a thing that only happens to me, but because of this, I can't give it more than two stars.

- (2025-09-02) My favorite part about this extension is the In App Blocking feature, especially on YouTube. Kudos to the creators for making such a well thought out tool! Aside from that I do have one suggestion, maybe add an option to block the scrolling part on the Shorts, since sometimes there are some educational videos that we really need to watch, and I ended up having to off the Hide shorts feature.

- (2025-08-23) by updating do you mean deleting the extension and keeping it again? Also i love the extension it helps me so much with procrastination and productivity. also the little pop ups that come whenever you try to increase time on websites are so cute
- (2025-08-22) Works well. A bit too well. It's annoying (in a good way). And free. It anticipates that you will try and work your way around the limits you have set and gives you a way to prevent yourself from doing that. Only reason I haven't given it five stars is because the StayFree companion app (a separate mobile app meant to sync with StayFocusd) doesn't have as many features on mobile. It is easy to sync devices to the same account, but it is too easy to disable limits set on your phone compared to on desktop.

- (2025-08-18) I like it however when I am studying and going to a page that I have to, it blocks it ( I blocked all games and sport scores and Youtube). It worked wonders, but it was inconvenient for that 1% of time.

- (2025-08-16) Not a good app. It creates an illusion of a virus, and even blocks New Tab. I was fiddling with this and had to spend 1 hour to find the allowed site list. And plus when I want to disable it, it says "cancel to make the magic happen", I pressed the "ok" button to disable it, but it directs me back to the first popup, hence it looks like a virus. Do not use this.

- (2025-08-13) EVERYTHING I COULD EVER WANT IN THIS TYPE OF EXTENSION!! Time limits on apps? Check. Separate groups you can toggle on and off? Check. A way to unblock sites in case of emergency that's also really annoying and will make you rethink if you just want to procrastinate? Check. A nuke button that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to goof off? Check. This extension is INCREDIBLE!! For total distraction annihilation, get an incognito blocker or enable this extension on incognito and sync with mobile (or use a mobile app like opal). AND FINALLY IT'S ALL FREE!! As a broke engineering student, I've struggled with distraction management for ages and this is the first one that has actively met all my needs. Plus, there's a sync with browser theme mode lol.

- (2025-07-25) Undoubtedly one of the best site blocking chrome extension. I have tried many apps before only to discard them for various reason: difficult to use, blocking on keywords thus blocking legitimate sites, app not working despite stellar reviews etc. StayFocusd is far far ahead of the pack. It is very comprehensive blocks whole URL(eg subdomain with the domain) and complete sites. Hourly blocking, Allowing only Allowed list, syncing the app with your mobile so bascially its compete suite and caters for vast majority of users. Only concern I have about how secure is my browsing and what I am typing is being recorded and can be used by malicious apps?

- (2025-07-17) StayFocussed was a life saver last year but suddently stopped working - it allows website access 24h despite my settings for 22h. I switched to Firefox but nothing equal to StayFocussed and returned to Chrome, re-installed Stay Focussed but still does not block internet use at the time I set!! Emailed help desk but no reply yet.

- (2025-07-04) keeps glitching and blocks the wrong apps like Spotify instead of Pintrest, even blocks my google account at times and it is a horrible hassle to keep closing and re-opening tabs just to get it to work right! also the notifications of the amount of time I had left never came! This was something set to make sure research was easier and no distractions came but it blocked my research part! Unacceptable! But it does effectively lock the apps it's designed to keep out.....
