I don't care. Give me an option to turn off any and all popups related to features that are not free. Heck, the extension shouldn't even be allowed to create these popups. It's a popup BLOCKER, not maker. The only redeeming factor is that this behavior is still very rare. But I have no doubts that it's just a matter of time.

Now seeing popups saying "This site has trackers on you!" and begging us to upgrade to premium so they can get rid of them. I don't know why I didn't get rid of it earlier, but now I am. And all these paid reviews are super obvious since they only say one or two words and give 5* meanwhile basically every other review is negative with actual feedback.

Replacing popups with an "infobar" is as annoying as the popup itself. You had it right with the small notification on the icon. Notification within the address bar would also work.
