- The chrome extension doesn't work anymore, it keeps crashing, even after deleting and reloading it. Even when repaired it only last for about a day or so. Verified that Chrome was up to date also. I might have to start looking at other options if this continues.

- Constantly shows an error when saving a new password, requiring a reinstall.

- It's very light compared to bitwarden

- works well idk why theres so many negative reviews

- This is by far the best, the most secure, and easiest of all then any others on the market. I have been with them for 10 + years and never looked back. Mean while testing the others and found them to be so inferior. I have learned when it works why change. Love you product - Gary Schneider - NJ

- I have used it for several years and have been pretty happy. But since W11, I have to enter my extremely long password into the Chrome extension 10 times a day at work. I have been unable to fix it, and will look for another solution soon.

- Breath of fresh air after LastPass which I used for 13 years - but they lost the plot in recent years.
- Tom Davis
- Don't understand the strong negativity shown here, I've been using 1password for over 10 years, desktop, phone and browser. I've found it to be very user friendly, good design, strong security and had all the features I've ever needed.
- Isaac Russell
- Have used 1Password since 2007 when it was a bookmarklet for iPhone. Everything *just works* and has gotten better each year.

- After using 1Password for over 5 years, including at work and with a Family account, I remain very happy with the product. I've previously used other password managers, including LastPass, and 1Password is just so much better (in UI, UX, capabilities, features) than that or anything else. And as a cyber security professional, I have reviewed their security in great detail, and found it to be extremely resistant to known attack paths, with an excellent zero-knowledge implementation. 1Password definitely has better security than anything else commercially available. No hesitation in giving it 5 stars.

- This addon interferes with the ability for postMessage to send a ReadableStream via Transferable object.
- Umair Ahmad
- There's a lot of negative reviews and I'm not sure why.. ive been using 1password for a few years and have had zero issues with the extension.
- Vegard Fiksdal
- Extremely annoying. Popups blocks the UI, always nags when I don't want it, overrides competing products, and the vault is the most confusing UI design ever. I recommend using bitwarden or even lastpass.
- Joel Cardinal
- Works fine for me, easier and more robust than Keeper.

- The main app is excellent ! ID give a 4,5 star for that but The Extension for the browser is Completely useless as it constantly asks for the password even though the Main app is logged in. Also when you give the Correct password ( from the logged in main app ) the extension says " something went wrong " and asks you to re enter the password , Then after a few tries it changes and wants you to add the secret Key and password.

- the chrome extension doesn't work

- Here we are again with no change. This extension continually asks for the 1password password even though the main Mac app is open. I ran through their instructions, including checking whether the browser and the app are in the Applications follder - they are and no amount of cleaning restores proper operation. This has been an ongoing developer issue for years and this is the reason I've now dropped my rating to a 1 (because a 0 isn't available).

- I reported a regression (autofill shortcut opening 1Password on generic search rather than, you know, _autofilling_) more than 3 months ago. Whenever I follow up with the support, they apologise, but they seemingly did not make any real progress towards fixing the issue. Don't get me wrong, I love 1Password, the app and its flow _when it works_. But this? This is outrageous. I'm a software engineer myself and I can't imagine a regression like that just sitting out there for _months_ after being reported. Oh, by the way, Proton Pass is supposedly finally working on adding keyboard shortcuts. I'm moving there as soon as they implement that.

- Browser plug-in (both in Chrome and Edge) seems unstable and I regularly have to uninstall and reinstall. It incurs errors and doesn't work a lot. This has been going on for a while and the support staff always troubleshoots by asking me to do the same steps first...can you uninstall, etc. Why can't the app just be rebuilt and work like it used to?

- 1password has a miles better ui/ux than lastpass. The extension works great and it also seamlessly handles both my personal and work account.
- Amelia Kroner
- For company use: Somehow they've made the simple password manager a complete nightmare to use. I often have to click upwards of 10 times to simply input a password – logging in across three different methods. How this happens: the extension pushes me to the the desktop app which pushes me to SSO which pushes me to the browser app which then opens the extension which then asks me to open the desktop app which finally (maybe) let's me in. More often than not, it actually pushes me through the whole loop again because somehow the desktop and browser app didn't correctly communicate that I've logged in. I really wish this was an exaggeration, but I'm currently in this loop for the second time today just trying to log into one app (which requires reauthentication via password very frequently) I've tried every possible setting to get this to not happen or to extend the window of time that i'm logged in, and despite being quite tech savvy, owning and managing dozens of complex tools, this is still one of the most complicated tools we have to use (from an end user perspective). Trying to onboard a new user requires simply memorizing which buttons to click when to pull up the correct option to prevent cycles of getting pushed back and forth between different windows. I honestly couldn't recommend it less. It's a hilariously bad user experience. Please do not buy for your company. Personal use Idk, maybe better.

- It doesnt work. In ANY browser. Touch ID doesnt work. I have to manually type in my master password. At this point it serves the same purpose as an text document with passowrds in it. If this doesnt get fixed fast, I am cancelling my subscription.
- Chris Pierce
- Great app for keeping you safe on the internet.
- Airport Guardian 1
- Have been a subscriber personally since the very early days, and now through my business for a whole team. This is an essential application and it works beautifully. We couldn't run our business or household without it. No clue why all the negative reviews.
- Teodor Tomic
- The product is great but the Chrome extension is glitchy. Since a recent update it keeps logging me out of 1Password while Chrome is running. As a result I need to log into my account and type in my key. I've used it for years and this has never happened. Over the years, the interface has also gotten worse -- every change requires me to use a janky web ui.
- Tommy Vo
- Doesn't update passwords.
- Jennie Morrow
- When i click Open 1Password from the extension icon, it does not tell the app on my computer to open 1password.
- Romain Batany
- Very surprised to read some of the reviews, as I find the product amazing. I was using LastPass before but 1password is at another level, especially with their 2FA function to share passwords across teams
- Pedro Sugasti
- Exelent App. I've been using it for years with no problem, is very secure, and is a must have in today days. Is really stupid that the chrome extension has only 2.9 stars . I guess most of people here are only complaining but the people happy not doing any positive comments.
- Sandi Cats
- Used to work fine, now it is so slow it is almost unusable.
- Jason Xu
- The extension's autofill for HTTP web forms has been broken for over a month now, and the bug still hasn't been fixed.
- Sean O
- Slow, crashes a lot and needs to be reinstalled every week due to a "database error."
- David Freedman
- 1Password is the most reliable password manager and always works fine on my Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Pixel. I've used it for over 5 years in Brave, Chrome, and Safari. I'm not sure why there are so many recent negative reviews.
- Ben Thomas
- No longer works on locally hosted http sites (just for development, not publicly accessible) - error in console: window.crypto.randomUUID is not a function
- Adam Jubert
- The browser extension stopped working completely and I had to reinstall across each profile in order for it to work again.
- Derek DeHart
- The 1Password app ecosystem in general is great. I've used the service for several years. It's disconcerting, though, that the team working on the Chrome extension ignored feedback that the extension injects JavaScript into websites such that it completely breaks the formatting of some content. This finding its way into production accidentally would be understandable. Sometimes these things happen. But that the team willfully ignored feedback and still hasn't addressed the feedback even though they received it almost a month ago and as of this review cannot provide any ETA when it will be fixed. Their current solution is just "disable the extension". It's this sort of negligence that will prompt otherwise satisfied users like me to explore alternatives.
- Jonathan Hill
- Last few point releases load time on the plugin in the browser has been very slow.
- Chris Miller
- Boy it sure would be awesome if connect with the browser/desktop app actually worked and didn't always say "Connection error, make sure the 1Password app is unlocked." It is unlocked, and I have connect with the browser/app enabled in both places. My subscription expires soon, seems like a good time to start testing other services.
- Christina T
- It was great when I started using it a year ago but now, it's a 50/50 chance whether or not I'll be able to even load the passwords on my extensions. I have a 2025 Macbook, there is no operating system issue. If the Mac extension is unusable, it makes no sense to use this product. Please fix this.
- Hugo Alliaume
- Break the code highlighting from many websites by wrongly injecting Prisma.js in webpages
- Julian
- Using it for years, could not live without it
- Andrej Adamcik
- The extension inject tons on junk on all websites and breaks code formatting everywhere.
- Paul Kretschel
- The extension undesirably modifies the HTML, breaking syntax highlighting of code blocks on many websites.
- Askill Solheim
- Why does it have to hijack payments methods in Chrome no matter what setting?
- Ben Vogt
- It seems like 1Password is no longer maintaining their extension. Or I can only assume that they are no longer maintaining this extension, as it interferes with normal web browsing and scripts in ways that only a negligent, or incapable company would allow. Avoid this extension and product if you can.
- Niklas Ma
- Great password manager and plugin does what its supposed to do, never crashed or broken. I do not understand all the low ratings. The only thing I have had issue with lately, and It could be on my part, is that I have to login on both the OS app and the browser plugin separately, before I did not have to do that.
- sim sam
- After recent update no longer working, uninstalled/reinstalled everything and on sites, that 1Pass worked now not even via the extension menu usable. I have to copy almost everything. 1Pass, whats wrong?
