Tekijänoikeusrikkomukset ovat jokapäiväinen tilanne modaajille. Useimmat nykyään jokseenkin suositut modit on jossain vaiheessa kopioitu laittomasti ja levitetty uudelleen kolmannen osapuolen sivustolle ilman, että niiden kehittäjät ovat antaneet minkäänlaista tunnustusta tai lupaa. Monet näistä verkkosivustoista sijaitsevat Vietnamissa tai Venäjällä, ja niitä on vaikea poistaa käytöstä eri tekijänoikeuslainsäädännön vuoksi. Monet näistä sivustoista käyttävät latauslinkkejään laittomasti ansaitakseen rahaa modaajien kovalla työllä, ja monet näistä sivustoista menevät jopa niin pitkälle, että väittävät omistavansa laittoman sisällön. Great extension to just let run and then forget about.
