저작권 침해는 모더에게 일상적인 상황입니다. 오늘날 다소 인기 있는 모드의 대부분은 어느 시점에서 개발자의 승인이나 승인 없이 불법적으로 복사되어 타사 사이트에 재배포되었습니다. 이러한 웹사이트 중 다수는 베트남이나 러시아에서 호스팅되며 저작권법이 다르기 때문에 중단하기 어렵습니다. 이러한 사이트 중 다수는 다운로드 링크로 불법적으로 수익을 창출하여 모더의 노력으로 돈을 벌고 일부는 불법 콘텐츠의 소유권을 주장하기까지 합니다. 그들 중 일부는 맬웨어와 바이러스를 호스팅하는 것으로 알려져 있으며 이것이 실제 무해한 모드라고 주장합니다. 이것은 멈춰야 합니다.

- 사람들에게 이러한 사이트를 방문하면 컴퓨터가 위험에 처할 수 있음을 알립니다. 아무도 맬웨어에 감염되기를 원하지 않으므로 사이트가 잠재적으로 컴퓨터에 손상을 줄 수 있음을 경고합니다.
이 확장 프로그램이 경고하는 사이트는 https://github.com/StopModReposts/Illegal-Mod-Sites에 나열된 것과 동일한 사이트이며 새 호스트로 며칠 또는 몇 시간마다 업데이트됩니다.

Love to see the community doing something about this, I can't count the amount of times I've seen friends download from these sites and their machines are infected and then they never try modded again (and a younger more naïve version of me may have done the same in the past). Great extension to just let run and then forget about.

A useful feature, I dunno how easy it'd be to implement, but when you go to a certain repost site, there is an option to redirect to the legitimate mod download. I know this'd probably be a pain to implement each individual site though.
