💡 Pourquoi 1Password ?

- Just don't use it. It's cumbersome, asks your password for unlock instead of using the fingerprint on macOS. And worst: It crashed the entire browser and I interruped my work in order restart the PWA apps and open tabs. It's just not worth it. Browser stability is more important than a shortcut to type passwords or load passkeys. I will keep using Apple's for passkeys.

- One of the Worst ! Never works when you are in need. Plugin keeps crashing every single time when you reopen chrome.
- Pavel Hegler
- Needs to be turned off and on again every day to keep working. Very annoying. Worked fine for 6 months

- Has been an amazing extension making life easier. AS of 21/4 it's stopped working, now only get a white screen, suspect as Google released an update for chrome, it's only temp, will change rating once fixed, but yes if you're getting a white screen, it maybe due to recent updates from Google. **EDITED** as of 22/4 it's working again, suspect it was due to chrome updating, have edited my review to 5 stars as working perfectly.

- The extension does not open for me... I even attempted uninstalling and reinstalling.
- Grace Ackerman
- I've loved this, and found it very handy, but on April 16th, 2026, it stopped autofilling in all 3 of my bank accounts (different banks) I can copy and paste, but no more autofill. Other accounts like credit cards, still work fine. I tried their chatbot, followed all the suggestions, but no luck.

- best password manager
- Michael Stuffer
- Does not work most of the times...
- Resync29
- Works on Mikishit Edge, stopped working for Brave or Chrome.... shame shame shame EDIT: It took a right-click "Inspect pop-up" crash & restart to bring it back to life on Brave, do better 1Password
- Kaleb Barker
- The extension just doesn't work at all now
- Rebecca Dussich
- I love 1Password and have been using it for years now. The extension was also great and made everything so easy to use, but at some point in the last month or so it just...stopped working? It starts working again when I uninstall/reinstall, but only for maybe a day or two, then it dies again. It's clear from recent reviews that I am not the only one, by any stretch. Very disappointing, because 1Password's overall utility drops significantly without the ease of a browser extension to fill in/generate/save passwords. I will keep using the actual app for now, but seriously considering a switch to a different password manager entirely if this continues. Fix the browser extension! Please! ASAP!
- Koray Küpe
- Shows only white screen for some time.
- Jaroslav Ištok
- Extension randomly stops working and I need to restart browser, this is completely unnaceptable for a PAID software
- Ryne Ring
- update a password, error. generate a password, error. My company made us start using 1password and the chrome extension is horrendous, never works.
- Anthony Trimble
- Why does it suck so bad???
- Bhanu N
- Doesn't work. They only have premium tier. No trail plan to try the app.
- Denis Bondaruk
- This extension contains a bug that will use 100% CPU (version 8.12.10.36) Cause seems to be an infinite loop in diagnostics code of the service worker. Seems like it's fixed in the beta version (8.12.10.38)

- DANGEROUS EXTENSION If you use 1Password, would recommend installing it to your device NOT as an extension, recently have noticed this extension sometimes hitting 100% utilization of my CPU which reads heavily of malware/unintended functionality integrated into this extension, that raises MANY red flags. Causes laptop to heat up to dangerous temperatures and kills battery. Either a WILDLY unoptimized extension or there is something else going on under the hood, either way DO NOT install this!!!

- I switched from Bitwarden to 1Password last year, and over the last year the browser extension has slowly gotten worse and is seemingly dragging the rest of my browsers down with it. I notice a huge speed difference in my browsing compared to having the 1Password extension disabled vs enabled. Over the past year, Bitwarden has seemingly caught up with its browser extension and has improved its passkey support. After my free trial is up in May, I will be switching back to Bitwarden because this is simply unacceptable. A password manager should not slow my browser down, especially as much as 40% as I see on some reports.
- Heath Rutledge-Jukes
- Not working in chrome anymore. Very discouraging
- Vincent Winters
- The worst perodically stops working. Time consuming PIA to restart it.
- w2w
- This extension is broken and poorly designed on so many levels. Tell me how a company can make half a billion a year and make extension so bad. Maybe next time allocate some money from marketing budget into actual product.
- Ted Kirby
- This product absolutely sucks. DO NOT USE IT! EVER!! You cannot save a new account or password in it. It tries to automate the process, and it fails every time. The last time I used, it totally hung. I had to reinstall the extension to get it to work. It tries to automate, but does such a terrible job, it screws you. DO NOT USE THIS EVER.
- Fran Eleazer
- Great extension, great app. Couldn't live without it. If there are bugs, they are quickly fixed. No app is perfect, and with all of the other extensions people have installed in Chrome, there could be conflicts. People shouldn't leave a bad review without troubleshooting.
- Chris C
- It worked perfectly. After the last browser update, I have to waste time double clicking either user/pw for each login, and selecting to copy. I am now wasting at least 10 minutes a day having to manually select what used to be such a simple thing.
- Sherri Grant
- Extension keeps crashing and needing repair
- Shaughnessy Insurance Group
- Works perfectly alll the time. Confused by other reviews. I love that it relies on the desktop app so i can have the extension installed in the 5 browsers i use and they don't have their own copy of my PW Database
- Simon Chen
- always, unlock the 1password for chorme extension. gabage!~
- Matt Arderne
- definitely the worst thing about 1password, and makes me doubt the entire product
- Craig Dickinson
- The extension is great, but recently it had really started lagging my browser, seemingly getting stuck in an infinite loop. Google Sheets extensions have become unusable with this enabled in Chrome.
- Mark Lough
- It has become unusable in the past 3 days. Keeps telling me to update, but I believe I will just find a reliable password manger. It worked fine for 1 1/2 years on Brave, but suddenly fails to work and recognize HTTPS sites. UPDATE TO POST: Checked my Brave Browser only to discover that it did not complete the last update/upgrade I thought had been completed. Everything is working as it should now.
- Lucas G.
- Autofill on chrome mac is a nightmare
- Mike Liu
- It was smooth and working. Recently, it's freezing and unusable 99% of the time
- Heath Rutledge-Jukes
- Not working on windows. works on my mac. very discouraging.
- Ambroise Dhenain
- Works great. So much better than LastPass. I don't understand why it's rated so bad overall, I've never encountered any issue, been using it for ~2 years on Brave/Android.
- Danielle
- This extension just keeps getting progressively worse. Newest version update does not work at all.
- Jeremy Scott
- Weird issue suddenly started happening, the autofill icon keeps jumping around and lagging my entire system. Chrome U2D, happening on 3 separate computers.
- Tyler Johnson
- The chrome extension stopped working properly all of a sudden, it keeps crashing, even after deleting and re-adding it... and disabling all other extensions. Verified that Chrome was up to date. A shame because I liked 1password but now it's becoming unusable.
- Marjuk Sajid
- 1Password has been a tool to generate different characters passwords and store them safely. I received an one-year subscription through the GitHub student dev pack.
- Roman Sentsov
- Doesn't work, asks for my password and doesnt accept any password.
- John Serenita
- The chrome extension doesn't work anymore, it keeps crashing, even after deleting and reloading it. Even when repaired it only last for about a day or so. Verified that Chrome was up to date also. I might have to start looking at other options if this continues.
- Stéphane Busso
- Constantly shows an error when saving a new password, requiring a reinstall.
- Nasrul Aziz
- It's very light compared to bitwarden
- Zhao CHEN
- Command-Backslash does not work
- Frank Mayer
- Works perfectly.
- Const
- Everything is fine, using everyday 👌
- Ozer
- works well idk why theres so many negative reviews
- Gary Schneider
- This is by far the best, the most secure, and easiest of all then any others on the market. I have been with them for 10 + years and never looked back. Mean while testing the others and found them to be so inferior. I have learned when it works why change. Love you product - Gary Schneider - NJ
