Erkennt und warnt vor Seiten, die bekannt sind, Mods illegal zu verbreiten.
Urheberrechtsverletzungen sind an der Tagesordnung für Modder. Die meisten der populären Mods wurden irgendwann illegal kopiert und von einem Drittanbieter weitergegeben ohne eine Bestätigung oder Erlaubnis der Entwickler. Viele dieser Websites werden in Vietnam oder Russland gehostet und sind aufgrund unterschiedlicher Urheberrechtsgesetze schwer zu beseitigen. Viele dieser Seiten monetarisieren illegal ihre Download-Links, um Geld von der harten Arbeit der Modder zu verdienen und mehrere gehen sogar so weit, das Eigentum an den illegalen Inhalten zu beanspruchen. Einige von ihnen sind bekannt für Malware und Viren und behaupten, diese seien echte, harmlose Mods. Das muss jetzt ein Ende haben.
Wenn DMCAs und Take-down-Mitteilungen fehlschlagen, müssen wir uns darauf verlassen, dass die Community Leute davon abhält, Mods von diesen Quellen herunterzuladen. Allerdings sehen viele der Webseiten, die sich in der oben beschriebenen Art der Tätigkeit engagieren, sehr gut gestaltet und offiziell, aus. Infolgedessen sind viele Maschinen mit Viren und Malware infiziert, Modder verlieren Einnahmen und Reputation und werden mit Berichten über Fehler überflutet, die bereits in neueren Versionen ihrer Mods behoben wurden (da nur die alten Versionen auf den illegalen Seiten gehostet werden). Stop Mod Reposts wurde entwickelt, um dies zu stoppen. So wollen wir es machen:
- Wir lassen Sie die Menschen wissen, dass die Websites illegal sind. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit, Menschen daran zu hindern, diese Seiten zu nutzen, wenn sie nicht wissen, dass die Aktionen des Hosts das Gesetz verstoßen und dass der Host die Rechte der Modder ignoriert. Daher wird diese Erweiterung ein Overlay anzeigen, wenn Sie eine Seite wie diese besuchen.
- Wir lassen Sie die Menschen wissen, dass der Besuch dieser Websites ihren Computer in Gefahr bringt. Niemand möchte mit Malware infiziert werden, deshalb warnen wir sie, dass die Seiten möglicherweise ihren Rechner schädigen können.
Die Seiten, vor der die Erweiterung dich warnt, sind dieselben wie auf unserer Liste (https://github.com/StopModReposts/Illegal-Mod-Sites) welche alle paar Tage oder Stunden mit neuen Webseiten gefüllt wird.

Love to see the community doing something about this, I can't count the amount of times I've seen friends download from these sites and their machines are infected and then they never try modded again (and a younger more naïve version of me may have done the same in the past). Great extension to just let run and then forget about.

A useful feature, I dunno how easy it'd be to implement, but when you go to a certain repost site, there is an option to redirect to the legitimate mod download. I know this'd probably be a pain to implement each individual site though.
