Încălcarea drepturilor de autor este o situație cotidiană pentru modderi. Cele mai multe dintre modurile oarecum populare de astăzi au fost la un moment dat copiate ilegal și redistribuite pe un site terț, fără nicio recunoaștere sau permisiune din partea dezvoltatorilor lor. Multe dintre aceste site-uri sunt găzduite în Vietnam sau în Rusia și sunt greu de eliminat din cauza legislației diferite privind drepturile de autor. Multe dintre aceste site-uri își monetizează în mod ilegal linkurile de descărcare pentru a câștiga bani de pe urma muncii depuse de modderi, iar unele dintre ele merg chiar până la a revendica proprietatea asupra conținutului ilegal. Prin urmare, această extensie va afișa o suprapunere atunci când navigați pe un astfel de site.
- Informarea oamenilor că vizitarea acestor site-uri le pune în pericol calculatoarele. Nimeni nu dorește să fie infectat cu programe malware, așa că îi vom avertiza că aceste site-uri le pot afecta mașinile.
Site-urile despre care avertizează această extensie sunt aceleași site-uri care sunt listate pe https://github.com/StopModReposts/Illegal-Mod-Sites și sunt actualizate la fiecare câteva zile sau ore cu noi gazde.

Love to see the community doing something about this, I can't count the amount of times I've seen friends download from these sites and their machines are infected and then they never try modded again (and a younger more naïve version of me may have done the same in the past). Great extension to just let run and then forget about.

A useful feature, I dunno how easy it'd be to implement, but when you go to a certain repost site, there is an option to redirect to the legitimate mod download. I know this'd probably be a pain to implement each individual site though.
