明るさ、コントラスト、セピアフィルター、ダークモード、フォント設定、無視リストを調整することができます。

- I have ocular albinism, and white light hurts my eyes. Dark Reader is the best dark mode extension I have found to prevent eyestrain and extend the amount of time I can spend on my screen. I recommend Dark Reader to all my visually impaired friends and colleagues.

- Conflicted. AMAZING when it works, but VERY inconsistent. Simplest example is "respect system theme" rarely works. It will go out of sync CONSTANTLY at random points of the day and even if I toggle system dark/light mode, it refuses to align until I forcefully open the extension and turn it on/off/on again.

- Still bad after all these years. Still making some sites flash page white when loading, and even on some sites the page appears all white and we gradually see the black coming. I rather go back in using the flags for the dark mode for the web. (Not only this extension is bad in Chrome, but horrible in Firefox). You need to figure out one day how to make that a good extension.

- You will never have to turn this extension off or adjust settings from not being able to read or see a website, and it works the best out of all the others currently available on Chrome. The only thing I can't get to go into dark mode is my system Information page, which has nothing to do with this extension. But it will give you a tan if you keep it open for more than 10 seconds. drunk driving in reverse.

- This plugin is rather frustrating. Dark Reader inverts its basic setting (ON/OFF) after about one hour for most websites. Chrome just sits there and the problem appears without any interaction. Also after every restart of Google Chrome. So (almost) each website that you want in dark mode is bright again, and vice versa. Customer service won't react, even after several inquiries via email. Therefore Dark Reader is just annoying, I have to say.

- Worked great for months but recently its blacking out certain text until I hover over it. Like text links, menus, calendars on specific websites. So I had to disable it unfortunately.

- Fundamental extension to have. There are rarely ever any glitches/maladapting's of the dark mode to pages! I discovered Dark Reader as a Chrome user circa 2019 more or less, using it predominantly on PCs. Winter 2025 I switched from Samsung Internet to FireFox for Android from the Play store, & downloaded the Dark Reader extension there too. I LOVE the dark & light mode color schemes customization available there, hope to see it here on Chrome soon too!

- 11/13/2025 - eBay site is now broken when using this. None of the minor details of the account information can be seen. I use this site daily and will be donating in the hopes that this can help fix the issue. Still the best extension for dark mode. Thanks

- I'm having issues using dark reader with google docs. Sometimes pages bug out and don't let me edit using certain functionalities without turning off dark mode and using those functions without dark mode. For instance, I can't use the highlight feature or the bulletin point features if a certain glitch occurs.

- Attempting to open any settings popup or page, I am greeted by the page continuously loading, without an error. Tested on two devices, both running on the latest chrome canary builds (issue appearing within the past 3 days, so i added an s). Obviously, I blame myself for using a version of chrome, bound to be broken in unexpected ways. but i wanted to mention that there is an issue, even if its caused by someone else. The extension works as expected on firefox/librewolf! (Also, yes, I did put a low review, but its just one that will be adjusted in a couple days <3. Thats not how i normally feel about the extension, keep up the good work!)

- This extension is very useful and easy to use, so far I have not found any bugs or issues while using this extension, I used to change dark theme extensions periodically to find the best dark theme extension, but I did not find any extension like this

- Works, but only if you enjoy getting begged by the Dev for money EVERYTIME it updates. There are less annoying ones out there.

- This sometimes works. Other times there are websites with white text on a light background like yellow, which is impossible for me to read. This extension doesn't allow me to change the text color to something readable or change the light background to a darker color in those areas.

- While this might have the best result, it actually slows down browsing speed by more than %50. I did a speedometer test and was getting 23 speed, but with this extension turned on, I got only 11.

- This breaks old.reddit.com, not sure about the new site. The search field is no longer usable, and the comments are either unreadable or the box is all white which defeats the purpose of using this, especially at night.
