- I've been enjoying this extension for a long time, but I noticed that after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, the extension breaks my ability to use old reddit. With the extension enabled on old reddit, the buttons to create a new thread are unclickable. Hopefully this can be fixed in an update, but in the mean time, I'm forced to use a different dark mode extension.

- Works perfectly. The custom settings for each website is a very nice feature to have; compared to the default dark mode available on Chrome flags.

- It's cool for what it is, but there are a number of websites that become unreadable, or dark logos/PNGs will be practically invisible. I find myself having to disable it, because the dark theme can make it hard to focus for reasons I can't fully comprehend aside from the extra work it takes to understand what you're reading with mismatched colors. Good concept, but there is room for growth.

- The hidden Flags Experiment page in google chrome had a way to turn on dark mode but some things were always screwed up. Today even more was screwed up and i couldn't get it normal so looked for a chrome extension... found some but u pay for them (YEARLY..... LOL), now i found this. I've seen some people say it made the browser slow. Get a better pc. It works fine... In fact this worked out perfect, dark mode on everything, ways to turn it off for specific sites that don't need it if it doesn't auto detect a dark mode (or not a mode but just a dark background to begin with), even more filtering you can do just for a specific site (worked out great for the FFXIV wiki page). And you CAN pay them, if you want to.... kinda like the popular ad blockers. but this isn't a trial version then you have to pay like others. 5 stars

- Not good. Even when turning it off, it messes with pages. Things happen when you're messing with the controls, but as soon as you click off, things go wonky. This one needs a lot more time in the oven.

- This extension is mid at best. It does its job when it has to, but overall feels unpolished and not well thought-out. For example on Google Docs, it will successfully enable dark mode for the document editor by inverting the colors, but that includes the highlighter colors, so other people will view the highlight with the inverse color. (Ex: bright yellow will become dark blue for others.) Overall this extension isn't bad, but neither good. I'd be happy to be proven wrong in the future, but for now this is underperforming for an extension with 5,000,000+ users.

- I am so confused with this extension, I thought it's free (not trial or paid etc.) but today I downloaded this extension and got this new page saying: "Please pay for Dark Reader Today is September 19, and we're kindly asking you to complete the payment to keep Dark Reader going. For over 10 years, Dark Reader has helped millions of people with migraines, photophobia, and light sensitivity. Please make a payment now or soon after trying the app. Take part in spreading dark mode across the internet and help making the web easier on everyone's eyes." Excuse me? - Chrome kept freezing and crashing the last few days when watching streams or clips on twitch, youtube stopped working completely, turns out this extension was the problem. It works again after putting these 2 sites to the ignore list. So if you also have problems with youtube and twitch or other sites, see if this extension is the problem.

- At first, it worked fine. But lately, it’s been causing issues. In dark mode, every time a new site loads, there’s a sudden white flash before it switches to dark, which feels unpleasant and strains the eyes. This problem was exactly why I avoided using lightweight userscripts and relied on an extension instead—but now even that is failing.

- I'm having a problem with google chat's icons: they get rendered as text rather than a dark mode icon, resulting in being impossible to use google chat. Hope y' all fix it soon, best dark mode plugin out there!

- Contains harmful malware - my PC was attacked several times while using this extension. Mind you, I have had this PC for several years without any problem

- Sometimes it bugs out and darkens the screen even when it's turned off. Worse, the screen gets darkened in a bugged manner, with various elements not darkening/inverted to white properly.

- It's really buggy, both on Brave and Librewolf. It also shamelessly begs you for money when you install it. Go to chrome://flags and enable Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents. It's not perfect but at least it doesn't crash the page or show an unresponsive pop-up.
